New Jersey Sex Offenders Records
The laws in the State of New Jersey permit the Division of State Police to execute searches on behalf of the public and make available information about specific sex offenders subject to registration under Megan’s Law. The sex offender registry law is found in the New Jersey Code in 2C:7-12 to -19.
Such information is being supplied to provide the public with relevant information regarding people that have committed sexual offenses so that people concerned can take the necessary measures to ensure safety. The purpose behind allowing access to this information is purely one of protection and should never be used for harassment, intimidation or bullying.
