This allows employers and third party representatives to verify the names and Social Security numbers (SSN’s) of employees against Social Security records. Obtaining someone’s Social Security Number (SSN) is a sensitive subject and the number is safeguarded under laws so that its misuse does not occur. At The New Jersey Investigator, there are limits which these laws impose on our business, but we try to provide the client with all the necessary information. However, we may not conduct all of the steps due to confidentiality and legal concerns regarding obtaining social security numbers from clients.
